Happy Halloween!!!!

So we decided that we wanted Logan to be a bear for Halloween because many times he sounds like a little bear! I looked everywhere for a costume with no luck! Thankfully my friend Andrea found a costume in a magazine that she gets for her kids! It was a 12-18 month and with the dimensions that it gave thought that it would work out. Once it got to the house we were a little afraid that it wasn't going to fit. It ended up that the lenth was good but the arms were way too long. So doing my first crafty mom project, yesterday I cut the arms and sewed a hem on them and then tore off the paws from the material that I cut off and re-attached them to the sleeves! (turned out better then I thought! Even though I knew he wouldn't put the paws on, we needed the effect!!!)

We headed to Northbranch to go trick or treating Logan's cousin's Julia and Hannah in their neighborhood on a trailer that was rigged up to be pretty warm! Logan wasn't to happy when we first put his costume on..part getting close to bed time and part not wanting to wear it!

Oh, Logan became the cute bear with a pacifer to calm this angry bear down!

Here he is taking pictures with his cousins getting ready for his first trick or treating! Don't they look so cute!

Logan was getting tired while we waited for everyone to get ready to get on the trailer, but we got a few pictures with mom and dad! Sorry you can't see half his face...his hat kept moving everywhere!

Here we go up to our first house!

And here we are after getting our candy! Sorry it was hard to keep up with the young kids who just wanted candy!!

we quickly hit one more house and then he feel asleep the rest of the time on my lap while we sat in the ice house on the trailer....must have been the motion and the hum of the tractor! LOL It was a great first halloween and we had a blast!!!

Yum Yum?

Logan was starting to wake up all the time at night and we thought since he was close to 6 months we would try some rice cereal and maybe he would sleep again (just for the records, he did and still isn't! ghhhh), anyways, we went out and got a highchair (thanks grandma!) and gave it a whirl.

He wasn't the biggest on the idea and didn't really like it too much. We tried to continue for another day or two but he would just fight it. So we stopped and started again in a few days and he is doing better. Likes it a little more, but this hungry baby likes his food to hit his belly LIKE NOW, so you gotta get him when he's not starving! LOL

Family Visit

A few weeks ago, Aaron's side of the family came down to move Jill into her new apartment in Mpls! (side note..We love having her here!!!) It was a busy weekend with lots of stuff going on. The family loved to see how much Logan has changed since the last time we all were together. Here is a picture of Logan with his cousins Gabe and Elana...how cute are they?!?!

FOOTBALL!!!!

Finally it's football season! This is a very exciting time at the Dass household...and we are teaching Logan early....it's the only t.v. we let me him watch! LOL Well, as you all know I LOVE Brett Favre and am uber excited that he is now a Minnesota Viking! So, thanks to my friend Staci I got my jersey before the season started...but of course Logan told me that he wanted one too! How could I deny my child of a Favre jersey when he wants one so bad?! We got ready for Sunday football Saturday night by wearing the viking pj's that Staci had got him.

Then Sunday we got to get into our new digs. Here is a picture pre-dressing time.

Here's a few pictures of me looking awesome in my jersey.

I had to take a little break in this picture for a nap..I was sooo tired from all the football excitement!

How sweet it is that my mom and I match!

Aaron was nice enough to grill for him, I and my friend Staci. Look though at this HUGE burger he made and tried to eat!!!!

Ok, he didn't grill it, it came in the paper with McDonald coupons...I cut them off on the bottom and then we took this picture....we laughed for several minutes..I know we are easily amused!

update to date

I know, I know, I have been horrible at keeping up to date on the blog! Who thought that I would be so much work and I would be so exhusted! What's new...hmmm Well we went to the fair and had a great time! Logan was sooo good and he loved sitting up in his stroller like a big boy! He also loved looking at everything.

Aaron has been working hard at home with Logan, building some neck strength. I tell you that Kid is loving sitting up....no only if he could do it a little longer and with better control..LOL

Logan, always has the most confused face when you hold up the camera to take a picture! LOL

It's been too long

Wow, it's been a long time since I have posted anything. so much stuff has been going on! Last week on the 18th I had to return to work. It has been a little stressful adjusting to the daily change. Luckily, Aaron had a great idea for me to get a digital frame and load it with lots of Aaron's pictures. I am not sure that this has helped when I get sad or work or keep me distracted and not doing my work! Logan and dad have been busy with working on tummy time and giggles. Logan giggled for the first time while I was at work, I am still waiting to hear it! Here are a few pictures that we have taken lately. Enjoy, and next time it won't be so long!

hanging with some family

On sat we went to Chad and Jenn's so that Aaron could put in their outdoor lights in exchange for the recliner we got from them. While they worked hard. Logan and I hung out outside with Jenn and the girls. I got to sit and chat with Jenn we watched the girls swim, while Logan enjoyed looking at everything outside! It was a little hot, but a wonderful day! Auntie Jenn and Uncle Chad, also sent us home with a TON of toys! woot woot!<(I don't know how to filp this picture so you will have to forgive me! LOL)

Shots and a vist from grandma and papa

On Monday the 3rd Logan had his 2 month appointment and first set of shots. Logan is in the 95% for both his height and his weight. He weighs 14 1/2 lbs and is 26 inches long! He's such a big boy! The next day grandma Diana and Papa Roger came to visit on their way home from vacation. We got to play lots and take a walk too before they went back home!

So much to catch up on!

I haven't blogged in a long time and there is so much to fill everyone in on! Aaron had to go and re-sign the Hibbing books so we thought that we would make a mini trip out of it! We stopped by my grandparents so that they could get another visit with their great-grandchild! Boy did we have a good time and Logan was chatting up a storm.

Then that same day we headed to Duluth to Aaron's parents house. Papa Kyle hadn't seen Logan since he was born and still hadn't held him because he had been working in Chicago. Since he was back home from traveling we though that it was a perfect time for him to see just how big his grandson was getting!
Sun August 2nd we headed to the twins game with some tickets that Aaron won at the union meeting! They were great seats and Logan slept almost the entire time we were their! We had a blast and can't wait to go next year when it's outdoors and he is a little bigger!

Friends

Logan loves to play on his mat with his "friends" He talks with them and laughs and bullies them around. He can play on here for quite some time with his buddies and be SO happy! Great buy Grandma Diane and Auntie Jenn!

thumb it is

So, for awhile now Logan has been trying to suck to thumb but often can't do to the lack of complete control of his arms. Well, now that he is getting older and better control he has been able to find his thumb and his hands all the time. There are many occasions where you put him in his crib or swing and he lays there and sucks his thumb. Here is a picture of him laying across Aaron on the boppy in the evening sucking his thumb.

Day with (some of) my aunties

Aaron's sister Jill had some car issues the other week and was in need of some repair. Luckily, Aaron and Mark like to fix cars! While Mark and Aaron worked on the car Logan and I got to hangout with Jill and Elisha. Logan was so excited to see some of his aunties! He is a very lucky boy to be spoiled with 4 aunties! He was able to get spoiled (even more than he does on a regular basis) with lots of hugs and kisses!

When I was talking with Elisha when Logan was laying on her, I had to stop because I just couldn't believe how big he looked! I can't believe that he is already 2 months old!

Hanging Out

So I finally decided that it was about time that I did some organizing in my craft room and so that I can get back into the habit of working on some scrapbook pages. I had paper that I had bought SEVERAL months ago that was still sitting in the bag! So Logan came to hang out with me and kept himself busy in the bouncer while I got things put away. Soon we will be able to hang out in the craft room while I make some awesome scrapbook pages of him!

Then Aaron came home from hanging out with a friend of his and he and Logan spent some time outside looking at the trees blow in the wind. But then they had to sit and watch one of daddy's favorite shows, PTI on ESPN.

NMG

I had signed up to particpate in a new mom's group. We met every monday from 1-3 for 6 weeks at the Yoga Center of Mpls. When I first started I knew that I would love the "teacher", but was a little nervous about not really knowing any women in the group. Well, we just finished out last group on Monday and I am sooo bummed! Turns out it was the best thing that I ever did. Not only did we meet on Mondays, but many of us mom's also did another activity outside of group. We are hoping that even that group is over we can meet once a month to stay connected and be a support to each other. I have meet an amazing group of women and am so excited for the many more child rearing adventures we will share! On the last day of group we took a group photo, along with a picture of the babies in a circle!

Again...more Logan

So I don't have anything to really report today but wanted to share a few of my favorite photos. What can I say my kid is adorable! ;)
